Frozen lines in the winter. Lukewarm water in the summer. Let’s fix that.

Your hydration pack set-up should work in any climate. The Extreme Weather Series puts an end to frozen bite valves and plastic-tasting, warm water, keeping your hydration crisp and flowing no matter what the thermometer says.

Choose the exact protection your gear needs, or bundle them together for ultimate climate defense.

Key Features & Benefits

  • 4-Season Thermal Control: Dual-action engineering keeps water liquid flowing in freezing winter conditions, and blocks body heat from turning water lukewarm in summer.
  • Universal Fit: Fits CamelBak, Osprey, Gregory, Platypus, and more.
  • Premium Protection: Heavy-duty, multi-layered thermal insulation provides maximum climate shielding without added bulk.
  • Fast Setup: Simple design that installs in seconds.
  • Constructed from heavy-duty, weather-resistant multi-layer neoprene for superior durability and insulation.
  • Integrated bite valve pocket securely fits most standard hydration bite valves, helping keep them clean and protected from dirt, dust, and the elements.
  • Designed to wrap around both bare hydration tubes and insulated drink tubes.
  • Rear-mounted hook-and-loop (Velcro®) attachment system allows quick and secure mounting to hydration pack shoulder straps.
  • Ambidextrous design provides convenient left- or right-handed access.

Dimensions

  • Overall Length: 23 in. L x 3.5 in. W
  • Tube Cover Tail: 17 in. L x 1 in. W
  • Bite Valve Pocket: 6 in. L x 3.5 in. W

Pro Tip: The bite valve is the first part of any hydration system to freeze. It is a small piece of uninsulated silicone sitting in open air, and a dust cover alone will not protect it. In cold, severe weather it needs a dedicated insulated cover.

  • Triple-layer insulation for extreme cold or hot weather conditions.
  • Universal design fits many popular hydration reservoirs and hydration packs.
  • Optional bladder hang hole for reservoirs that use a suspension hook.
  • Multiple drink tube ports allow left- or right-side hose routing.
  • Optional fill cap and base connector openings accommodate a variety of reservoir designs.
  • Multiple exterior attachment points provide secure installation in many hydration packs.
  • Durable, weather-resistant construction for hiking, cycling, hunting, military, and outdoor use.

Dimensions

  • Fits many brand name hydration reservoirs up to 17 in. L x 8 in. W x 1 in. D.

Note: A filled bladder gains depth and loses height and width. If your empty reservoir measures slightly over these dimensions, it will still fit.

FAQ

Can it be used with insulated drink tubes?

Yes. Preferred. The wrap-around design fits both bare hydration tubes and insulated drink tube covers.

Installing over an insulated drink tube adds an extra layer of insulation for maximum protection against extreme weather conditions.

Does insulation actually prevent freezing in sub-zero temps?

The short answer: It buys you time, but it isn't a heater. Adding multi-layered insulation certainly slows the freezing process significantly.

Important Caveat: The Bite Valve

The most vulnerable part of the system is the bite valve. Even if your tube is insulated, the valve is a small, uninsulated piece of silicone exposed to the air. In winter, this is almost always the first part to freeze. A dust cover alone will not protect it. We recommend our Drink Tube Bite Valve Cover.

What is the difference between the Standard and Extreme Weather insulation systems?

Our Standard Drink Tube Insulator and Standard Bladder Insulator are constructed from durable neoprene and are designed to help maintain water temperature during everyday outdoor activities. Depending on starting water temperature, weather conditions, and sun exposure, users typically experience approximately 4 to 5 hours of temperature protection.

Our Extreme Weather Drink Tube Bite Valve Cover and Extreme Universal Bladder Insulator are designed for more demanding environments. These products feature multi-layer insulation systems that provide significantly greater protection against both heat and cold. In addition to extending temperature retention, they help shield critical hydration components such as the bite valve, drink tube, hose connections, and reservoir from direct exposure to harsh environmental conditions.

For users hiking, hunting, cycling, military training, backpacking, or working in extreme temperatures, the Extreme Weather system offers the highest level of insulation and protection available. When paired together, the Extreme Weather Drink Tube Bite Valve Cover and Extreme Universal Bladder Insulator create a comprehensive hydration insulation system designed to maximize fluid temperature retention and improve hydration performance in challenging conditions.
